Welcome to Mookerawa Waters

Right on the south western shore of Burrendong Dam, Inland Waters Holiday Parks Mookerawa Waters is popular year-round with fishing enthusiasts, nature lovers, bushwalkers, campers and picnickers.

Home to all kinds of wildlife, if you tread quietly you are likely to spy some echidnas, kangaroos, wallabies and deer, especially in the late afternoon when they venture down for a drink. It is a delight to behold the sound of native birds in the early morning bringing the park to life.

Visit in the spring and be rewarded by a spectacular and colorful display of Australian wildflowers. Unique and  delicate, the Bluebells, Golden Wattles Pea flowers and Bugle flowers dot the paths and landscape for the delight of those who wander there.

Fishing enthusiasts will enjoy the variety and numbers of fish including redfin, catfish, murray cod, silver and golden perch. Yabbies’ are easy to catch along the banks and make for a delicious meal on the barbecue or open fire.

Throughout the spring and summer the park provides a fantastic opportunity for boating, sailing, swimming and water skiing. Families and friends make day trips or camp out to enjoy this magnificent waterway and all it offers. Choose from cabins to rustic campsites, enjoy open fires if the season permits.

The kiosk sells ice creams and drinks and you can hire a gold pan and try your luck.  Swap and go gas, ice, bait & fishing supplies are also available.

Meet Your Park Hosts

Richard Vernon

Mookerawa Waters, a little piece of heaven on earth! Hi my name is Richard Vernon and I am your park manager and along with my friendly staff would love you to come, stay and enjoy all we have to offer here. Visit just for the day, camp or stay in one of our fully equipped 3 bedroom cabins. We have the most fantastic views and relaxing surrounds. You can cool off in our wonderful sparkling clean swimming pools, play a round of golf on our 9 hole golf course or relax and throw a rod in to catch a cod or yellow belly to cook on our free BBQ's. Launch your boat off one of our boat ramps to go water skiing. Go metal detecting for gold, which is still found here today or gold panning in the creek. I know you'll love it here as much as my staff and I do.
